NYC #HDColorTrio

I received NYC New York Color HD Color Trio in Long Beach Sands to test complimentary from Influenster via the #JollyVoxBox. 

Out of all the products included, the HD Color Trio was my favorite. The natural, shimmery colors are perfect for shading and accenting your eyes to make them stand out. Out of the three colors in my pallet, the highlight shade (on the right in the picture) was excellent at hiding the dark circles under my eyes and creating a nice even skin tone. 

Another thing I really liked about HD Color Trios, is that they label each color in the trio as a guide, Crease, Lid, Highlighter, ect. That's great guide for beginners that aren't sure of how to apply eye shadow. Also, the applicator that is included is small. Some people might not like it, but I prefer it because it allows me to blend and highlight all the little spots that larger brushes make more difficult to be precise.

~Not Your Mother's® Beach Babe™ Texturizing Sea Salt Spray 2013 Sweetheart Voxbox Review~

I love wavy hair and have always struggled with getting my hair to hold beautiful, tousled waves.  I have very long hair that is heavy, wavy and defiant. Whatever style I try to maintain, my hair always seems to put up a fight and frizz up. I've tried product after product and the only way for me to tame my hair is using a ton of mousse, conditioner, spritz, hairspray and anti-frizz serum, scrunch it up into clips, and use a hairdryer on low for about an hour. It can get to be a big pain in the butt, especially if you don't have the time for all that, and it's easy to add too much product so your hair ends up looking crunchy or oily.  

So I pretty much gave up the idea of curling my hair and just go for the straight iron these days.

However, I was chosen to receive Influenster's 2013 Sweetheart Voxbox and one of the free products included was Not Your Mother's® Beach Babe™ Texturizing Sea Salt Spray. I've never had the chance to try any of the Not Your Mother's brand of products, but I've heard good things, so I was excited to do so! The scent and texture feels exactly like you've been at the beach all day.  Sweet and coconut-ish like suntan lotion, yet is also long lasting, but without the chemical smell that some hair products have. 

 Not Your Mother's® Beach Babe™ Texturizing Sea Salt Spray  is natural, and leaves hair feeling light and soft, not crunchy like mousse or hairspray. It takes about ten seconds to apply, adds volume and helps control the frizz and define my hair into the beachy waves that I've been looking for without resorting to heat or damaging products.  I will be definitely taking this with me whenever I go swimming or have intentions of  getting wet since it helps keep my hair from being such an unruly, tangled mess. 

I would like to add that since my hair is so long, I had to use more of this product than someone with shorter hair, and it seemed to me that using a bit too much could  possibly dry your hair out, though for some that could be a plus if you have oily hair. I also preferred to use it straight out of the shower while my hair is still damp. It's easier to comb through so it covers your hair instead of just having "spots" that are wavy and others that are frizzy, and it works even better if it's braided and has had time to set. Though I can't say that this product has given me the  super sexy waves of my dreams, I definitely think that it's worth giving a try and will be adding this to my hair care collection.

~Secret Clinical Strength Stress Response 2013 Sweetheart Voxbox Review~

I've always been a fan of Secret deodorant and have been using Secret Scent Expressions clear gel for a long while now. I've tried tons of different deodorants and most of them always seem to be lacking what I look for in an antiperspirant. The solid leaves my underarms feeling gross and usually the clear gels smell great, but don't last very long. So I pretty much gave up and stayed with what I felt was the best option. 

However, thanks to Influenster's 2013 Sweetheart Voxbox I was able to try Secret Clinical Strength Stress Response Deodorant for free. I was sent the Serene Citrus scent and super excited to try another product from a favorite brand of mine. I've been wanting to try it for a long time, but it always seemed a little pricey to me, for a product that might not even have worked. 

I'm so very glad to say that Secret Clinical Strength Stress Response is the only deodorant that has everything I want. ~ Skinnygirl Daily On-The-Go Bar Sweetheart Voxbox 2013 Review~

I never had the chance to try Skinnygirl Daily On-the-Go bars, though I've seen them around a few different occasions. I've tried a lot of other snack bars and a lot of them honestly haven't impressed me much at all. The bars that taste great are definitely not on the healthy side of the spectrum, and the bars that aren't loaded with junk usually taste bland and akin to cardboard. 

However, thanks to Influenster's 2013 Sweetheart Voxbox I was able to try my first Skinnygirl On-the-Go bar. I was sent the Coco-nut with Peanut butter and I'll admit at first I was wary because I'm a HUGE peanut butter fan and I didn't think they would give it the justice it deserves. 

I was WRONG! Dead wrong! 

This bar was absolutely delicious! It's just the right size for a quick snack if you don't have the time for a sit down meal or if you're running late. The coconut and peanut butter go well together and neither overpowers the other. It's healthy for you being that it's loaded with fiber and protein, is natural, only 180 calories, and is also kosher, yet has less sugar and fewer carbs.  I recommend these bars to everyone, but especially for those that are looking for great snack, and still live a healthier lifestyle.

~Influenster~ Sweetheart Vox Box 2013 First Impressions

Here we go again! I love Influenster and am so happy that I was lucky enough to qualify for another program!  This time, I received the Sweetheart Voxbox and it is LOADED with some great products.  I'll do a quick run-through now, and add individual reviews for each product sometime over the next week or so.

~Influenster~ Palmolive® Fresh Infusions™ Review

 As I've mentioned, I recently got the chance to try Palmolive Fresh Infusions thanks to Palmolive and Influenster. I shared my first impressions, now it's time for my review!

~Ginger White Tea ~ Lime Basil ~ Lemon Thyme~

The scents of all three are wonderful! It was hard to pick a favorite, but  Lemon Thyme came in 1st place, with Lime Basil as a close second. The Ginger White Tea is nice as well, but I always lean towards citrus when it comes to cleaning products because it reminds me of when I was a kid in my grandma's kitchen. 

I also let my friend Joey join in the fun and pick one to keep for himself, and shared the coupons with friends and family as well.  He chose the Ginger White Tea

However, as nice as a product smells, you never know how well it works until you put it to the test... So that's exactly what I did. 

Armed with my weapons of choice, I set out to conquer the mountain of dirty dishes lurking in our sink.

This is about two and a half days worth of dirty dishes at our house. They were not presoaked, and most of them were not even rinsed clean. In short, my living nightmare. 

 A short while later, the battle was done, and our entire silverware draw, as well as a large portion of our dishes are squeeky clean! No greasy pots and pans, and no stuck on food or residue. It was very gentle on my hands. It didn't tear them up nearly as bad as my usual brand does.

 I am very happy with the way Palmolive Fresh Infusions suds up. Just a little bit of dish soap turns into tons of bubbles with super cleaning power. I also liked that the liquid itself is thicker than what I expected. Runny dish liquid usually rinses off too easily so I end up having to use more to get the kind of clean dishes I prefer. Not the case at all with Fresh Infusions!

This shows exactly how much I used to wash all of those dishes.  Also, I should add that I love the bottle design! Not only does it look great on the counter, it's also great for soapy slippery hands. I didn't have any problem at all when it came time to add a little more dish soap to the sponge. Not like most of the other bottles I see all the time that are awkwardly shaped so I end up dropping them.

I highly recommend Palmolive Fresh Infusions to anyone that's looking for more out of their dish soap! I will definitely buy this again in the future

~Influenster~ Palmolive® Fresh Infusions™ First Impressions

So I am so excited to be one of the lucky members of Influenster that was selected to receive and test out the new Palmolive Fresh Infusions dish soap! 

Some of you may remember me mentioning Influenster before, but for those that aren't familiar, Influenster is a website to review products, answer questions and spread the word about products we love, as well as test products. 

This is what I saw when I opened my box!

First off, I love the new design  and the bottle shape. The graphics are classy and stand out well on the shelf at stores. It's something I definitely would rather have sitting out in my kitchen than a clunky, hard to handle, bottle that most other dish soap comes in. The colors are bright and I like that they are naturally inspired.

The new Palmolive comes in three distinct kinds.

Lemon Thyme

Lime Basil

Ginger White Tea

Each one of them smell fresh and clean, and I really liked all of them, but my favorite was definitely Lemon Thyme.

Durex Sexplorers Sampling Program Review 18+

I'm a member of this great website called Crowdtap and as a member, you give your insights, opinions, as well as have the chance to sample some pretty awesome products by hosting parties, samplings, and passing the information on to friends and family.

Well, Crowdtap is at it again! I was one of the lucky members chosen for the Durex Sexplorers sampling program and I don't know who was more excited - me or my partner! You may be asking yourself, "What is a Sexplorer?". A Sexplorer is someone that values their partner’s pleasure as much as their own to help them both achieve their ideal sex life. They’re also ready and willing to talk to your friends about your personal sexual experiences.

Out of all of the samples I tried out, the warming lube and the vibrating ring were my favorites. Much to my surprise, that little ring was a lot more powerful than I originally gave it credit for. It lasted well over 20 minutes and did not disappoint. It was a nice to change it up a bit.

As for the condoms, there didn't seem to be much of a difference between the sensitive and the rest. We liked the Performax Intense condoms the best out of all of them. The scented condoms and flavored lube smelled nice, but I can't say the same about the taste, as it wasn't anything close to what the flavors should be. Though, they did the job well as far as lubrication goes.

Overall, it was a great experience that I was happy to share with friends and family. The expressions on their face as I handed them their goodies were truly priceless!

The Big Influenster Relaunch!

I joined up with Influenster last March, and if you're wondering what the big whoop is all about, they're pretty much a community of influential people with expertise in certain areas that can qualify to receive some really awesome, and totally FREE products to try out and review.  I was lucky enough to be one of the members accepted to try the Mom Voxbox last June, and it did not disappoint! 

Influenster recently switched things up a bit by adding a face lift and relaunched the whole website. It's a lot easier to navigate than their old version since it wasn't very user-friendly, and it's still taking me time to get used to all the new features, but the overall look and feel is a major upgrade.  I really like that there's loads more stuff to do! More products to review, they're adding more Voxboxes to the program so your chance of being accepted is  higher than ever, and now you can check out your friend's as well as other member's profiles. The best part of it all is that you get the opportunity to be a part of a like-minded community that you can share your expertise and experiences with the products you love. Or the ones you don't! 

In the program, your influence is measured by a score, which is decided by a few different key factors.  

1.) Your participation on the website.

2.) Your presence on social media.

3.) Your participation when you receive your Voxbox.

 You can have up to five "Expert" badges, so it's important to pick ones that are actually  relevant to you. The more you participate, the higher your score goes, and the more likely you are to be accepted for a Voxbox! 

Influenster is fun, and a great way to get your opinions on your favorite products out there.  It's been a while, so I hope I'm lucky enough to be chosen for a Voxbox soon!
